I ran across this poem while organizing my computer files recently. I haven't read it since 7/1/2006. Perhaps now is a good time to share it as a reminder of what is really important in our lives...
I ran into a stranger as he passed by, "Oh excuse me please" was my reply. He said, "Please excuse me too; I wasn't watching for you." We were very polite, this stranger and I. I never really understood that since the number of minutes in an hour, hours in a day always remain the same. Now that I am becoming one of the "old people" - feel free to step in and disagree - I find myself saying the same thing.
As I wrap up 2011, I find that I set too many goals and objectives for myself last year. I wanted to accomplish so much and although I did accomplish plenty, I didn't take time to relax and enjoy my successes. In fact, they don't even seem as important to me now as they did when I set them as goals.
With that said, this y ...
