I ran across this poem while organizing my computer files recently. I haven't read it since 7/1/2006. Perhaps now is a good time to share it as a reminder of what is really important in our lives...
I ran into a stranger as he passed by, "Oh excuse me please" was my reply. He said, "Please excuse me too; I wasn't watching for you." We were very polite, this stranger and I. I've been fortunate to be able to travel to Germany quite a few times over the years. Back then, it was like a second home to me and visiting my inlaws and extended family was as comfortable as it was being in my own home. I loved everything about being there, but mostly the sounds and smells. The church bells, the police sirens - if there is such thing as reincarnation, I surely was European in a past life!
