As many of you know, my role here at Metro Mom Guide is much more than a site administrator. My goal is to connect community with small, local businesses to help establish long, mutually beneficial relationships. That's why my vision for Metro Mom Guide has always been to provide worthwhile content to keep readers engaged (and coming back!) in addition to giving them easy access to local business and events.Think of Metro Mom guide as the handshake that introduces the mom consumer to the business owner.

When I was younger, I remember listing to the "old people" talk about how the older you get, the faster the years go by. I never really understood that since the number of minutes in an hour, hours in a day always remain the same. Now that I am becoming one of the "old people" - feel free to step in and disagree - I find myself saying the same thing.
As I wrap up 2011, I find that I set too many goals and objectives for myself last year. I wanted to accomplish so much and although I did accomplish plenty, I didn't take time to relax and enjoy my successes. In fact, they don't even seem as important to me now as they did when I set them as goals.

This November 26th is a big day at Metro Mom Guide. It’s the second annual Small Business Saturday when people across the country come out and shop to support their favorite local businesses.
Metro Mom Guide is doing their part by giving away 10 free deals ads to local businesses around the Twin Cities.
